In this paper, a new four-level hybrid-clamped multilevel GaN totem-pole power factor correction(PFC) is presented. As a multilevel PFC, this topology can effectively reduce the voltage stress on MOSFETs and the input inductance. Under certain control method, the ripple frequency of the input inductance current is three times the average frequency of the switches on the high speed leg. This means that the inductance can be smaller. The hybrid clamping module brings automatic balancing function of capacitor voltage without voltage balancing control loop.
