摘要
Discontinuous pulse width modulation is usually used to reduce the switching loss of the Vienna rectifier, while it will further deteriorate the neutral point voltage imbalance. To solve this problem, the method of switching the clamping modes is used. However, an additional action of switching device is generated during switching the clamping modes. In this article, a novel carrier-based discontinuous pulse width modulation strategy of Vienna rectifier is proposed, which can remove the additional action of switching device during switching the clamping modes in some of the subsectors. In the rest of subsectors, the additional switching action occurs in the phase with the lowest current. Thus, this additional switching loss is slight. Meanwhile, the proposed strategy inherits the capability of reducing neutral point voltage fluctuation. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation results.
