Wireless power transfer system(WPTS) have gained widespread popularity in battery charging applications due to the unique advantages. Diversity of compensation networks are proposed to gain the specifics output characteristics in different occasions. This paper introduces an S-TT compensation network where the primary side adopts series resonant compensation and the secondary side adopts cascaded compensation with two T networks, which realizes the constant current(CC) output and constant voltage(CV) output with zero phase angle(ZPA) by changing the operation frequency. Furthermore, the resonance conditions of this compensation network are dependent of coupling coefficient k.
This paper also discusses the efficiencies under CC output and CV output when equivalent series resistances(ESR) of transmission coil and receiver coil are considered only. Finally, numerical simulation of this network validates the proposed compensation network.
