To analyze and suppress the far-field radiated electromagnetic interference of frequency converter, it is important to develop the far-field radiated electromagnetic interference model of frequency converter. The current far-field radiated electromagnetic interference model does not consider the coupling between cables, which will lead to the inaccuracy of the established model and the derived far-field radiated electromagnetic interference intensity. In this paper, a far-field electromagnetic interference model considering the coupling between cables is proposed. The mutual impedances between cables were considered and extracted through the mutual coupling theory of antenna. Taking the frequency converter as the voltage source and cables as the radiation source, the far-field radiated electromagnetic interference model of the frequency converter is successfully established. Finally, the radiated electromagnetic interference test platform of frequency converter is built. Based on the proposed model, the far-field radiated electromagnetic interference of the frequency converter is measured and verified by experiment.
