Previously reported resonant switched-capacitor converters (RSCCs) offer limited voltage regulation under the condition of an extremely wide switching frequency band for light load operation. In this paper, a new general full-range regulation method for RSCCs is proposed for all loads without the need of such wide switching frequency band. The proposed regulation method is applicable to single-inductor RSCCs and dual-inductor RSCCs with the benefits of limited frequency band and soft-switching operation. To promote the understanding, the regulation principle of RSCCs is compared with Buck or Boost converter. Comprehensive analysis of the operation principle and voltage-gain curves is given. Experimental results are presented.
