MMC (Modular Multilevel Converter) has been widely applied in MVDC (Medium Voltage Direct Current) system. A novel MVDC transmission system is proposed in this paper. In addition, the capacitance of sub-module and the inductance of branch for MMC are designed. Moreover, the control strategy of MMC is proposed, and the Square Wave Modulation is adopted. Finally, related experiments are carried out.
