摘要
Angular misalignment is a key issue in wireless power transfer systems for visual prosthesis, such like retinal prostheses. The weakened flux linkage due to the receiver misalignments in the eyeball would significantly impair the power capacity and efficiency. To increase the magnetic coupling strength and improve the misalignment tolerance, a novel three-dimensional transmitting structure with three transmitting coils at an angle of 120° to each other is presented in this paper. It shows that the new structure can effectively compensate the flux linkage loss caused by the angular misalignment of the receiver, and therefore maintain a high power capacity and efficiency.
