For grid-connected inverter systems, repetitive control (RC) is usually used in order to suppress current harmonics and improve the steady-state control accuracy. However, the dynamic performance of single repetitive control is poor. Meanwhile, existing studies rarely consider the performance of various control strategies based on RC under low voltage ride-through (LVRT) conditions. To overcome this limitation, a hybrid repetitive control (HPC) technique is proposed to control a five-level grid-connected inverter under LVRT operation conditions. Firstly, leakage current suppression is achieved by adding a return branch to the LCL filter. Secondly, the HPC suppresses the grid-connected current harmonics and achieves a very low total harmonic distortion (THD). Finally, the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the effectiveness of the control strategy are verified by simulation analysis.
