Digital control delay will inevitably affect the system stability especially in the low switching frequency applications. However, most literatures assume that the digital control delay in the dq-frame is as the same as in the αβ-frame, which may lead to inaccurate stability conclusions. In this article, the digital control delay in the dq-frame is revisited and derived for three-phase grid-tied converters, which provides a basis for accurate modeling in the dq-frame. Frequency sweeping measurements and stability analysis verify the correctness of the theoretical analysis.
