摘要
The trend toward high efficiency and high power density for power converters will continue. Magnetics integration can reduce the total volume of the magnetics, helping to achieve high power density. The integrated magnetics (IM) with asymmetrical windings can reduce the magnetic volume while keeping low winding loss simultaneously. However, the conventional design needs a huge cross-sectional area for the integrated magnetics due to the small effective resonant inductor winding numbers when a large resonant inductance is needed. In order to achieve a compact design, this paper gives a design methodology for the integrated magnetics with asymmetrical windings for a wide range of inductance values. The winding arrangement with the lowest magnetomotive force (MMF) is deduced to reduce the winding loss furtherly. To verify the proposed design methodology, integrated magnetics with a relative large resonant inductance are built and tested on a 2 kW CLLC DC/DC resonant prototype.
