摘要
Winding loss and parasitic capacitance are predominant limitations in the design of modern magnetic components in high-frequency applications, and both are affected by the gaps between magnetic cores according to previous research. Comprehensive electromagnetic analyses of different gap formats are conducted in this paper based on finite-element-method simulations. Compared to other gap formats, the magnetic components with orthogonal gaps demonstrate the ability to simultaneously reduce winding loss and parasitic capacitance, which is selected as the trade-off design.
