The paper presents a new DC/DC topology suitable for wide output voltage range applications. It is an integration of LLC and a phase-shift topologies in both circuit configuration and topology characteristic. All the switches are able to turn-on at ZVS and operate at constant switching frequency. It simplifies the transformer design of the LLC stage. Higher efficiency can be achieved across the voltage and load ranges due to the merits of both LLC and phase-shift topologies are attended. Performance of the proposed topology has been studied analytically. Simulation and experimental verification are performed on a 3-kW, 380-V dc input, and 200-V dc to 680-V dc output prototype with 60-kHz switching frequency.
