摘要
Extreme wind gust will cause wind turbines to overspeed and thus exceed the load limit, which reduces the life of the turbine and also leads to drastic fluctuations in the output power, affecting the power quality of the grid. and because the rotation of the blades affects the evolution process of wind speed, resulting in gusts of wind that make it difficult to measure the actual wind speed at the rotor plane. Using LiDAR can measure the wind speed in advance, combined with the traditional pitch control to design the feed-forward pitch controller. and then analyze the process of wind evolution, get the actual wind speed at the rotor plane and the time series of wind speed, accordingly get the feed-forward pitch controller accurate control time. and use Matlab/Simulink and FAST to carry out a joint simulation, the results show that the feed-forward control considering wind evolution during gust occurrence can better reduce the fluctuation of rotor speed and output power, and significantly reduce the ultimate load at the tower base of the wind turbine.
